Teresa's Story

I always wanted to be a steward when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a dangerous idea. As it turns out, they were right. I hope that my friends will remember me as a very happy individual. That i will give rather than receive. I will help any one in need. I will advice and encourage one to do the right things. I will fight for what is right and not the wrong things. I will sacrifice myself for all my love one and I will fight until the end until all my power and strenth has been exausted. The wildest thing I did in school was that we had a group and we all went out and meet in their house on the day we did not have school. It was cool, until one day we got cought, and we stop. Life doen't always turn out the way you espect. What's been theyou biggest surprise. Life could give you many surpprises at the least time that you do not expected. But if you are a strong individual you can conqour the world. There are times that you think that by doing this you are going to solve that. But when you turn aroun this and that got together and they both for a who and what. That is how life is roller coaster an d you just have to know how to ride it withou getting hurt. or know how to throw your dice and always win. My biggest surprise in my life is when I lost my father in there I lost all. But I found a way how to live with out him In remmerbering all his words and those good profound memories I have of him. I was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador and I lived over there until the age of 9 years old. My father decided to migrate to this country in 1968. On july 15th of 1970 at the age of 9 I came to this country because my parent decided to bring me to this country. I have no choice but to fallow my father foot steps. I have not regret on his dession to come and lived here. I always was thankful to him for making this extrange move with his wife and nine of his children. Well it is hard but I just tell the person off and I do not hold back anything. It doesn't paid to hold back because they will do it again and the person will take advantage one more itme. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have knowledge, experience, and patience to be able to deal with the day-to-day. I had many heroes in my life. All of them were men. My males teachers, it just happen that most of my teachers while I was in Elementary and High School were all men in which they inflicted me with knoledge and a lot of information to take advantage of education. But the the man that stole my heart an d still is is my beloved father. He gave me life and Im grateful for that. Not only that but he brough me to this country to better myself and for the family to do better, so once I agin I thank you for that. Eventhough he pass away 12 years ago I miss him, I love him, and he is in my heart. He tought me to be a fighter and to neve give up an d to walk with my head up no matter how many times you stummble. The mani lesson he gave me is to never let no man put you down just because you are a women. He tought me that woman are smart and men are stupids. You as a women can make any man fall to your feet and trap. He was a wise man and I know the every word he tought me he was right. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Blanca, and Luis, because these two people were my best friends in my high school years. Yes I like sports but not a fanatic. I enjoyed playing volleyball in my high school years. I was in the team for four year. Yes i love pets. I have a white pekinese at home and two cats. through my live I had a few pets in which I keep phones an d good momentos of then. I had a 75 gallon tan k full of fish but I got rid of it because to much work and I did not have the time to clean it. Obsessions for music, dancing only, but no others stuff just with work and a little movie here and there. Reading and cooking. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel my kitchen and add on a closet. My dream home would be a sweet, sweet home. Sharing what I learned from my three girls is that they think that they know more than me. They are always correcting my English a nd I thank them for that. They are always borrowing my stuffs. If I won $100 million, I'd give 1 million of it to a poor school in my country, then spend the rest on home, child education and travel. To be truly happy, you would be where, doing what, with whom? y in one life one must like to do what they like to do. Happyness is a give in depending how you treat yourself or how your love one treats you. If you are in love with your partner then that person should show or give you happyness. It is up to one to seek your own happyness. My current age is 49. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be different because at this age i was a kid who was getting a heart surgery, so for me it was a difficult experience at this time of my growing up years.. I was so completely chocked unable to play or do things the way a mornal child should play. For many month I spend in the hospital. Coming and going taking physical therapy and enduring a lot of pain at an early age. The weirdest job that I ever had was back in 2000 I work for the census bureu. I took thae test again and I pass it. Im hoping they call me. The salary is a good deal. Working hard it says many things. you work hard because youlike the carrer you choose or because you have to work hard to feed your family needs. As a teacher working hard is my career iapirations to help my students achive their needs and goals as well as my teachers did when I was a student once. You ger one do-over. What do you do differently? I will make a different decision on how I choose to live my life. What about you would surprise everyopne at your high schoold reunion? Well, Well, Well the only surprise they will have is that seeing my face and the different person that Im. I think they will all be shcock to see me. because I always felt like the ugly ducking, but I have change to a lovely individual. Also they all be inetereting in the YEAR BOOK THAT I STILL HAVE. What happen to my first crush, well I wish I knew. Can you help me find him. There were few in high school I do not know were they are. My best friend would tell you I'm BAD, AND MEAN, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as nice person. No I do not. Me dressing up like 10 years ago. I have my own style. I do not go with what is in style. I dress in certain way to go to work, as you know it has to be very conservati due the students in the classrooon. Over the weekend I am sporty person. And if I go out is diferrent dressy outfit. I love jeans they are my besty of clothes. I love plains colors clothes no fancy stuff or too brightest color. Just plain me. I share my home with My husband Ramon. My three daughters, Kassandra, Karlyssa, and Narcissa DeJesus. My two cats, Anasthacia, and Pinta and Nena the dog a 12yr old pekinese, which I find amazing, and greatful that we all live under one roof and no one fights. Yes I did when I graduated in 1979 in my High School I got the Volleyball Award for playing 4th consecutive year in the school. I still have it an d that has been my pride and joy. award In 10 years, I hope to be in another state or country. I'm going to get there by changing what I should have done years ago. My oldest friends she is 66 and she is my best friend. She act my age. She makes me fell happy because I never knew that way of life after my meet her. She is the out going type and she showed me the ropes. She is who she is and she is a nice person and we connect because we both teach and that is a special bond that we are both dedicated to teaching children with specials needs. My first job was at social services, where I got paid 16,000 a year salary to escort and visited senior citizens to their houses. What I remember most about it is that most of those men thought that I was available to satisfy their sex needs. My childhood memory I will never forget there are many many many special one. One is that I remember the day my mother brought my brother home, in which that was back in Ecuador when I was seven years old. My other one was when I was in the hospital after my heart surgery, I had a nurse Maria. A week before I left the hospital Maria an d I had a long conversation, She told me about the birds and the beans and how life would be to a young girls. She also gave a present a doll that will swing in the water. Maria when ever you are GOD BLESS YOU and thanks for all the dedicaiton and good treatment you gave me. Well I never live in a dorm. I could tell you about college experience in which is hard work n eeds a lot of time and you have to have dedication and study hard to acomplish good grades a nd finsih in time for graduation.
